Russel Brand has rightly quoted Jay Shetty as,“ He has the eyes of a Bengali tiger and the mind of a sage”. A storyteller, host, content creator, experiment maker has been on a mission on spreading knowledge, spreading smiles, spreading happiness and something like making wisdom viral. Ever since his launch of the channel in 2016, Jay has garnered not only over 4 billion views but also has 24+million followers on Youtube.
Early Childhood and Education
Jay Shetty was born on 6th September 1987 and currently 33 years as of 2020. He hails from the Bunt community and there isn’t much information on his parents and extended families. Most of the people don’t know that he was originally born and brought up in British but had its roots deep in India. The London United Kingdom was where he completed his schooling from and later on pursued getting a bachelor’s degree in BSc (Hons) in Behavioural Science from Cass Business School in London.
Before he is where he is today, Jay lived as a monk for 3 years and built philanthropic ventures in India. This was that one event that changed his life completely, from a naughty brat to a wonderful human being, from a shy person to a rebellious opinionated individual. Later he went back to the United Kingdom and shared all that he had learned among the monks. He also tried to put his teachings in practice with respect to himself.
In April 2016, Jay Shetty tied the knot with Roshni Devlukia, a plant-based dietician at Watford General Hospital, England. The marriage was a very low-key affair with very few family members in the occasion. She has a keen interest in Ayurveda and yoga. Jay Shetty often calls her wife with a quirky nickname, ‘Radhi’. They both met first during graduation and had known a little bit about each other. Due to his spread of viral talks and spiritualism, Roshni’s mother and her entire family already liked him.
In fact, there were times when Jay was facing tough challenges such as he was being rejected by various companies due to the weird title ‘ Former Monk’ in his resume. In such hurdleships, he was supported with great comfort by Roshni and his family.
